Aims & Objectives The course is designed to raise awareness of the Health & Safety issues associated with the use & handling of hazardous substances.
Suitability Essential training for all staff that as part of their job have to work with or around materials that could potentially be hazardous to health.

Requirements If delivering course at clients premises a classroom with power source is required.

  • Overview of the COSHH Regulations 1999
  • Hazard Catagories
  • Manufacturers hazard data sheets
  • Health effects of hazardous substances
  • Effective use of control measures
  • Appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Health monitoring
  • Employees duties
Notes Comprehensive notes will be given to all students who attend the course. 
Certification On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competance will be issued that will be valid for three years.
